Miami Valley Music Men
(Dayton's Premier Barbershop Chorus)
Press Release- November 10, 2020
Saturday, November 28th – Sunday, November 29th Miamisburg Craft Mall will be hosting their 2nd Annual Holiday Open House. The Craft Mall, located at 18 N. 2nd Street in Miamisburg, currently hosts approximately 60 of some of the best artisans and handmade craft artists in the Miami Valley. “The craft mall is unique, with many different items on display, available for purchase,” said Jackie Dour, owner of the craft mall. “This is not booth after booth of the same thing and there are no resellers here. We do allow antiques but only antiques that are repurposed in some way,” she said. On Saturday, November 28th, which happens to be SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, the Craft Mall will be sponsoring Dayton Metro Barbershop Chorus to sing Christmas carols in Downtown Miamisburg. The chorus comprised of people of all ages and professions have been meeting virtually since the Covid-19 pandemic, gathering for meetings outdoors when possible. “We would like to be able to give back to our small businesses and our communities,” said President, Jon Graetz. “This is a great opportunity for us to do just that!” Typically, the chorus meets on Monday nights and have really missed being able to sing together. “We really look forward to being able to get together every week again soon.” We are a a close-knit group and miss singing together.” If you are in downtown Miamisburg on Saturday, November 28th between the hours of 1:00 -3:00 pm and happen to see them, be sure and stop and say hello!
Sadly, with Montgomery County going to level 4 (purple), everyone is encouraged to stay home except for necessary outings. Thus we need to cancel this Saturday's sing-out. If we get to a place when it is relatively safe, to consider singing. We would consider it a wonderful thing to offer some cheer, if possible.
